Patience and the Art of Waiting

“All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and hope” Alexander Dumas
“Patience is the companion of wisdom.”Leo Tolstoy
“He that can have Patience, can have what he will”

It's a fact: we live in a fast food, on-demand, right here, right now, society.
This makes it difficult when there are times we have to wait, when the answers or solutions are not immediate. But we must remember our lives are not a McDonald's Drive-thru, our lives are, well, to state the obvious, our lives. I'm sure we've all heard as a child from an elder or our parents, "anything worth having is worth waiting for", well, there's a lot of truth to that adage. The best things in life are usually hardly obtained in an instant, they are obtained through hard work, patience, and non-passively waiting.

I DO subscribe to the theology of, "be patient and wait" but I do not subscribe to the ideology of "be still and wait" . For one, when it is practical, I believe we must do all we can to acheive what we want. For two, when there is nothing we can do, I believe we must be pro-active and focued on other areas of our lives.

When a psychic gives you a time line for an event, first, realize it's mutable because things are always changing due to the nature of the earth and especially the nature of free will. Paths change, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. Now, this may mean that the process(es) of obtaining what you want is either shortened or lengthened. When a psychic gives a time frame of months, this is not cause to become angry, although frustration is understandable, who does like waiting> Not many people. BUT remember, it is not your psychic's fault and also, that even waiting a few/several months is nothing in scope/spectrum of life, it only seems like an eternity.

However, if you choose to focus on the other areas of your life and improve them, the time will not only pass more quickly but you will present an improved person to whom/what you are waiting for and will have accomplisehd self-improvement. How bad can that be?

We must retrain ourselves in the art of waiting and realize that we live in a fast food society, but not a fast food world.
