Learning Tarot- The High Priestess

The High Priestess-Gilded Tarot
Key 2
Number 2

The pillars in the picture with the High Priestess are named Boas and Joachin. She represents fertility and is often depicted with a pomegranate, a fruit consisting of edible seeds, the absolute symbolism of fertility.  She also represents the unseen, intuition, and holds the Torah of Divine Law (in the traditional depiction), which is contains truth, and is half hidden, half visible to us. She knows things we do not.  The High Priestess is like a "third eye" and with her, you can know more than you normally would.  She knows the answer(s) to your questions.

Reversed, she can be deceitful, cunning, and delve out inaccurate information.  Information may be delayed, wrong, or, with the Torah dropping away from her, she loses truth altogether. What you see may not be what you get.
